Privacy policy

ResellHawk (“we”) runs resellhawk.com: tools that price secondhand items, a marketplace where members buy and sell, and live selling. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. Questions: privacy@resellhawk.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and profile photo from sign-in (email, Google, Apple or GitHub), and your shop name, city and ZIP code if you add them.
- What you create: photos and barcodes you scan, listings, messages, offers, reviews, saved searches and live-show chat.
- Orders and payments: what you buy and sell, and payout details. Card numbers are handled by Stripe; we never see or store them.
- ID checks: when you verify your identity, Stripe Identity checks your government ID and a selfie. Stripe keeps the images; we receive only the result (verified or not, and the reason if not).
- Usage and device data: pages visited, approximate location from your city or ZIP (used for local deals and pickup distances), and technical logs needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
- To run the service: identify and price items, show deals near you, list items on the channels you choose, process orders and payouts, and deliver messages.
- To keep members safe: ID checks, scam warnings in messages, reports and fraud prevention.
- To bill plans and marketplace fees, and to send account and order notices.
- To improve ResellHawk. We don't sell your personal information and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
What other members see
Other members see your first name and last initial, your shop name, your listings, reviews and your Verified badge. They never see your ID images, full name, email or exact address.
Who we share it with
Service providers that process data for us: Vercel (hosting and photo storage), our database provider, Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments, payouts and ID checks), Google Gemini (identifying items from photos and price research), Apify and Vercel AI Gateway (resale price data), and LiveKit (live video). If you connect eBay, Amazon or Facebook Marketplace, we send the listing details you choose to those services. We may share information when the law requires it or to protect members.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is open. Order and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can delete listings at any time, and ask us to delete your account.
Your choices and rights
You can view and update your details in your account, cancel your plan at any time, and email us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information. California residents have these rights under the CCPA; we don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies
We use cookies needed to keep you signed in and to run the site, and small preferences stored in your browser (such as your sales-tax setting). We don't use advertising cookies.
Children
ResellHawk is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and tell members by email or in the app.
